*WARNING! This post is crazy picture heavy!*
I'm not sure if anyone has seen Twin Nail posts recently from a few bloggers. A twin post is basically when two bloggers team up to create the same nail art! Of course, there are variations, but they do the best they can to make their nails look similar! Hence the name Twin Nails! :) So, today I am featuring my first twin nail post!
I am a member of a Twin Blog Post group on Facebook and from there I was paired up with Lacey of My Boyfriend Hates Makeup and assigned the pattern design of serpentine stripes. Basically, snake stripes! Living in Florida for quite some time gave me the idea to replicate the stripes of a coral snake! I began with two coats of Zoya Taylor:
Then, I began dotting with a smaller dotting tool. I wanted the stripes to extend over all of my nails, so I placed one Zoya Livingston stripe across all four nails first, doing my best to be sure they looked like each one extended from the nail next to it. Then, I dotted Zoya Pippa above and below Livingston. I continued this pattern with China Glaze Liquid Leather, then Pippa, on and on until I ran out of nail space! Yellow was always between the red and black.
I also posted a video of the complete progression on , if you're interested in seeing it! used my nails to create her stripes and here's what we came up with! I really liked doing these twin nails, so prepare to see more eventually! Enjoy! :)
These look awesome! They kinda remind me of Aboriginal art, fab =D
