I know I'm a little behind on the "Favorite Things in 2012" posting, but I was out of town until Friday and I needed a chance to get settled back in and really think about what I wanted this post to look like. Also, it only seemed fitting to review 2012 on the day that I tell you that I officially have my own domain name! I am now ifeelpolished.com!
*YAY!*
*YAY!*
I began blogging on March 11th. As I've mentioned before, I didn't really put myself out there until I began my Facebook page a little more than three months later on June 17th. I've been blogging for less than a year and I've already learned so much. I can only imagine what I'll learn in 2013!
My favorite parts about 2012 were three things: indies, nail art, and all of you. I love anything to do with nail polish, but sharing it with a community makes it so much better! I can't thank each and every one of you enough for sticking around and supporting me. I really appreciate and adore all of you! <3
Indie polish is a world I never knew existed until around July. Since then, most of my polish purchases have been indies rather than mainstream polishes. I've even begun my Indie Spotlight posts on Thursdays! Nail art is also something I learned a lot about over the past six months. I LOVE doing nail art and prefer having designs on my nails rather than plain polish.

Since I've been buying indie polish, I've obviously acquired favorites. There are so many indie makers, I couldn't have possibly tried them all but I do have a few brands and polishes I've gone back to several times. This is my list of top ten indie polishes of 2012:
10. Floam
This was one of THE polishes of 2012. Lots of people wanted it and it was extremely difficult to get. This polish began my love of fine matte glitter polishes! :)
9. I've Been an Awful Good Girl by Different Dimension
January Morning is a great top coat polish that makes any mani shimmer instantly!
7. Never Glow Up by Sonnetarium
8. January Morning by Girly Bits

4. Alyssa by Amy's Nail Boutique
3. This is Halloween by LynBDesigns
2. Way Existential by Nostalgic Nail Lacquer
1. Mind Control by Cult Nails
I had a lot of trial and error with nail art in 2012. Some techniques I go back to over and over again and some I've tried once and probably won't try again! Here's my top ten favorite nail art techniques in 2012:
10. Water Decals-Moustache and USMC
9. Glitter Gradients-Holiday and Heather
8. Spun Sugar
7. Plastic Wrap
6. Sponging-Galaxy and Gilty
5. Stamping
4. Dotting-Christmas and BCA
3. Water Marbling
2. Gradients-First Ever and Graduation
1. Tape-Checkerboard and Stripes
Last, but certainly not least, is my favorite mainstream brand of the year. If you've been reading this blog for awhile, you know about my extreme adoration for one brand of polish in particular. I find this brand to have superior variety, a phenomenal formula, and fantastic customer service. If I could only use one brand for the rest of my life, it would be this brand. Therefore, that makes Zoya my favorite mainstream brand of 2012:
And that's 2012 in Review! Bring on 2013!
