Well, my polished talons and I recently got back from a vacation and it was wonderful! If you follow me on , you may have noticed my absence for a week. I feel lucky to work in a state where I get an entire week off for Thanksgiving, so the husband and I hopped on a cruise ship and spent the week in the sunshine!
I love vacations but the cruise had me concerned because I knew I didn't want to spend any time polishing my nails when I could be in the sun or exploring the ports. Therefore, I chose to polish my nails with something that I could bear to look at for the week but also touch up if need be. I also wanted something sparkly but neutral so I could stare at my nails in the sunshine but also match almost anything I decided to wear.
I chose to use butter London All Hail the Queen, which is a gorgeous beige holo, Zoya Purity, and Zoya Blaze. I began by polishing my nails with two coats of Purity. While I allowed that to dry completely, I polished several little Blaze hearts onto a plastic baggie. (If you've never made your own nail decals this way, I highly suggest it! It's so easy and if you make a mistake, it isn't like your nail is ruined! You just polish your design onto the bag, allow it to dry really well, peel it off, and place it on your nail!) After Purity was dry, I placed striping tape on my nails in diagonal lines. I polished All Hail the Queen over the tape and then pulled each piece off immediately. Once I was done with all of my nails, I put one of my baggie heart decals on each of my accent nails. Viola! Beautiful, neutral, sparkly, and it didn't even chip for the whole week! The first and last picture have flash to help show a little of the holo goodness. Enjoy! :)
